Thanks for visiting my blog!
I am a freelance writer and blogger and I would love to help you with your next project!
In 2017 I set off on the trip of a lifetime before landing on the other side of the world, Australia. Refreshed and ready for a new start, I am now pursuing my dream of becoming a freelance writer.
I grew up both in Scotland, just outside of Edinburgh and in Derbyshire, England. After school I attended Birmingham City University, graduating with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Media and Communications.
The year following my graduation, I worked stupid hours in a bar to save up for two months of travel across the USA, the trip ultimately responsible for my travel appetite.
Arriving home from that trip, I knew I needed to experience long-term travel again so I started planning, although it did take me another 4 and a half years before I set off.
In that time, I met my fiancé Anna and moved to Sheffield where I stayed in a job that, let’s say, wasn’t my cup of tea for a little too long.
Still not knowing what I wanted to do with my life or career, Anna and I set off and traveled through India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia.
Along the way, I updated a personal blog which opened my eyes to the world of writing.
When we set off, I had no intention of finding a new career path, it couldn’t have been further from my mind, to be honest, but along the way, I decided I wanted to pursue writing as a legitimate way of making money.
What Am I Up to Now
I’ve completed two online freelance writing courses and have just had my first paid for article published.
I love writing about travel, sport, music and detailing my social observations. I am also swatting up on website copy with the aim to specialise in this medium with a strong knowledge of search engine optimisation.
